Following our successful funding application to the Community Ownership Fund and support from our community and many other funding bodies (see our supporters page for more!), we started on site in Spring 2025 with an aim to complete in December 2025!
The new centre aims to be open to the community in Spring 2026.

What will this achieve?

The rebuild of the centre will allow us to not only facilitate the continued running of existing groups, like the community surf & gig clubs, but will also let us to open up the building to other community groups - we already have many expressions of interest in using the centre both from individuals within the community but also from local schools.
Additional Community & Club use

The centre has massive potential with it being the only waterside dedicated community building in all of Sennen Parish & West Penwith. For uses such as:
First aid, life support & lifesaving training
Changing & showering post ocean sports - year round
Additional water based activity groups (e.g. sea swimming & paddleboarding)
Community workshops
Outdoor learning & extra-curricular activities for local schools
Environmental awareness events
Health & wellness classes (such as yoga / pilates)
Improved community gym
Post activity social events for a variety of local community groups

Whilst the rebuild project is now funded and well underway we are still raising money for the charity.
Can you help? Do you have any contacts at businesses that may be interested in supporting us? This could be in the form of:
★ Pledge of a financial donation;
★ Building supplies (in kind donations count towards our goal);
eg: scaffolding, materials, plumbing / electrical / decorating supplies…
As a thank you, every single donation will be featured on our website supporters page / social media. Any donation over £5k will also be featured on a plaque on the front of the new building.
